National Awareness Month for Domestic Violence
We all know someone or have experienced domestic violence personally, please join me in recognizing the need to stop the violence this October 2009. As I share my personal journey in my story as a survivor I remember all those lives who do not have this opportunity today and honor them in actively making change happen.
Have a blessed month!

Successful volunteering such a reward
Have you ever been a mentor? It is the most rewarding and truly right way to volunteer. I have had the honor to mentor a young lady since she was 15 years old when we met at a Latina Empowering conference where I was a volunteer speaker addressing positive life growth and choices 7 years ago. This week she graduated from a prestigious University, and along her journey she became my mentor and what I have learned is priceless. Why share this, because I have learned valuable lessons.
As I continue to volunteer on days when the media reports are negative and individuals are not in the positive, I realize yes one person can make the difference and we all need to learn “pay it forward” without ever expecting a pay back.
Have a day filled with rainbow light!
